FARR Release New Single “Rebel Soul”

FARR is comprised of Roméo, a songwriter and classically trained musician, and Linden Jay, acclaimed producer (Lion Babe, Rejjie Snow) and multi-instrumentalist.
Physically and musically existing somewhere between Los Angeles and London, the pair use phone calls, emails and text messages to produce a sound qualitatively different from anything around at the moment.
Drawing on soul and electronica and citing Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding and D’Angelo as influences, the band’s unique sound blurs the boundary between neo-soul and future R&B.
As soulful as previous releases, but with a renewed sense of urgency, ‘Rebel Soul’ is an atmospheric journey into desire coming to life through refracted beats and Roméo’s flawless vocal.
Speaking about the track, the band say: “Rebel Soul is the hardest hitting track we’ve put out so far and ushers in the next stage of our story. We wrote it in Linden’s kitchen on the back of a Lindt chocolate wrapper last summer and cut it between LA and London.”
‘Rebel Soul’ is the follow up to recent single ‘Blades’, which has now amassed over 750k streams. The band’s debut single ‘Down’ previously caused a stir upon release earlier this year – gaining 225,000 streams in just five weeks (currently over 500k) and reaching #1 on the Spotify Viral Chart in Canada, peaking at #7 on the Spotify Global Chart.
