Chicano Batman recently released Freedom Is Free via ATO Records and announces a fall tour with Khruangbin on top of a festival filled summer. New dates include two-night stands in New York and LA (with LA already sold out), stops in Boston, Atlanta, DC, Austin & Portland and a newly added festival appearance at Voodoo Music + Arts in New Orleans in addition to previously announced performances at FYF, Newport FolkXPoNential FestBumbershootCentral Park Summer Stage and more.

The band will be making their debut appearance on KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic this Friday, June 16 a few days before their first shows ever in Mexico.

Freedom Is Free is among Billboard’s ‘Best Albums of 2017 So Far’ and the Leon Michels (El Michels Affair, The Arcs) produced album’s cultural significance continues to build, even though, ironically, it wasn’t written and recorded with our current political situation in mind. Enjoy a live performance of the title track recorded at The Diamond Mine, Leon’s studio where the album was recorded.

Freedom Is Free has surpassed 10,000 albums on the consumption charts and campaign highlights include features with the LA Times, NPR’s All Things ConsideredChicago Tribune and an LA Weekly cover story along with a Tiny Desk Concert and their national TV debut on CONAN.
