ARTIST TO WATCH GRACE GAUSTAD RELEASES NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO FOR “NO YOU TO ME” TODAY
February 26, 2021
NEW EP, AFTER DARK I, COMING THIS SPRING
Today, rising singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Grace Gaustad debuted her latest single, “No You To Me”. Listen to it here! The track was co-written by Grace and Scott Effman. Alongside today’s single release, Grace also shared the official music video for “No You To Me” today. Watch it here! The video was directed by Benny Gagliardi.
Of the single, Grace said, “’No You To Me’ is about that tendency to always go back to this one person you were in a relationship with at some point. The song refers to all the really pretty people, with their incredible lifestyles and ridiculous traits, but for some reason you just can’t shake this one person cause you love them. In your head you find yourself looking for pieces of them in everyone you meet. Even though there are a million other people who are probably better for you, the heart wants what it wants and you can’t change that.”
“No You To Me” follows her latest single, “Out Of Time,” which Grace released last month. Following its release, NYLON heralded, “the song highlights Gaustad’s unique vocals over a synthy, bass-friendly track, with lyrics that are raw and personal” and Alternative Press named Grace one of “40 new Artists you need to hear in February.” Both tracks will appear on her forthcoming EP, After Dark I, which will be released later this spring.
At just 19, Grace has quickly begun establishing herself as a young artist to watch. Prior to her Human EP, Grace uploaded a riveting and raw piano and vocal cover of Hozier’s “Take Me To Church” that organically caught fire on her Instagram when was just 16 years old. With over 400k followers, the clip has amassed over 25 million views and over 2 million views on YouTube.
