Artist Bio
Justin Hayward-Young is the principle songwriter for platinum selling band The Vaccines, who have achieved over 800 million streams and sold over 2 million albums worldwide. Other notable benchmarks include 15x Hottest Records, 20x BBC Radio One A List Records and multiple Brit Award nominations.
As a songwriter, Justin has worked with the likes of Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Clairo, Maggie Rogers, Holly Humberstone, LANY, Mumford & Sons, Digital Farm Animals, Tom Grennan and Maisie Peters.
Recent credits include production and writing on most of Alfie Templeman’s debut album, Sea Girls (both currently high rotation on BBC Radio 1 and 2), Electric Guest, James Blunt, Ofenbach and Gretta Ray.
Justin has collaborated with an extensive list of producers including John Hill, Rich Costey, Dave Fridmann, Ethan Johns, James Ford, Cole MGN, Bjorn Ytlling, Jacknife Lee, Daniel Ledinsky, Mike Elizondo, Andrew Wells and Albert Hammond Jr of The Strokes.
Justin is still working with and touring with The Vaccines, as well as a number of other projects in the works managed by Red Light Management and published by Kobalt.
Justin’s personal areas of strength lie in melody, lyrics, and concept. He is available for select sessions with established artists, producers and artists in development currently looking to build a team around their project.
