Landlady is the songs of Adam Schatz (keys, vocals, saxophone), enhanced and exploded by Ian Chang (drums, vocals), Will Graefe (guitar, vocals), Ryan Dugre (bass, vocals). Currently at work on a new studio album, the Brooklyn-based band saw their critically-acclaimed third album, ‘The World Is a Loud Place’ take them from headline tours of the US and Europe to NPR’s Tiny Desk. Their live show is a burst of positive energy amidst the massive weight of misunderstanding and nonsense that can ring in our collective ears on the daily.
Everybody sings, and everybody arranges, chasing an energy reminiscent of collaborative nature of The Band mixed with the live show execution and flexibility of Sly & The Family Stone. And sounding not much like either, or anything else. Listen and see.
