Actor and musician Sam Palladio grew up in the southwest of England, surrounded by the surf and wild coastline of Cornwall. But it was in Music City USA, Nashville Tennessee, that Sam got his musical big break playing the role of soulful, country songwriter Gunnar Scott on ABC’s hit TV Drama NASHVILLE. Created by Academy Award winning writer Callie Khouri alongside executive music producers T Bone Burnett and Buddy Miller, NASHVILLE ran for six seasons with over 5 million viewers each week.
Sam found himself immersed in the worlds of Americana, folk and country and was able to make music with some of the finest musicians and songwriters in the world. Palladio has performed on many of the world’s most iconic stages, ranging from the historic Ryman Auditorium, Red Rocks Amphitheater, The Troubadour, Grand Ole Opry, Royal Albert Hall, The Roundhouse, and The O2 Arena. In 2018 he opened for one of his favourite bands, Biffy Clyro, on their European tour, showcasing that his broad influences include alternative in addition to country and Americana.
In the midst of the pandemic, Sam spent 2021 recording what would become his debut album in Nashville with producer Søren Hansen (of New Politics) and in LA alongside legendary producer/mixer David Sardy (Oasis, Snow Patrol, LCD Soundsystem, The Who). That project will be released in the coming months.
Sam’s other television and film credits include Channel 4’s/AMC’s BAFTA nominated drama “Humans,” BBC/Showtime’s comedy “Episodes” alongside Matt Leblanc, HBO mini-series “Catherine The Great” alongside Dame Helen Mirren, “The Princess Switch” alongside Vanessa Hudgens, “Runner Runner” with Justin Timblerlake and Ben Affleck and Lucasfilm’s animated musical “Strange Magic.” Most recently Sam starred in ABC television’s primetime drama “Rebel” opposite Katy Segal and Andy Garcia.
