Artist Bio

The Wild Feathers, consisting of singer-guitarists Taylor Burns and Ricky Young, singer-bassist Joel King, and drummer Ben Dumas, carry on Nashville’s spirit of the wandering country-rock band, most at home on the highway. Most recently, the band shared their single “Jacksonville To Jackson Hole,” a song by Eric Church and Casey Beathard which has never before been recorded. The song is a reflection of time spent on tour, and appropriate for The Wild Feathers, road warriors who have opened for Bob Seger and Brothers Osborne this year. “Jacksonville To Jackson Hole” was debuted along with an interview on Storme Warren’s morning show on SiriusXM’s The Highway (ch.56) and you can listen to it here. The Wild Feathers’ latest record, Greetings From the Neon Frontier, found them reuniting with producer Jay Joyce and embracing their more countrified influences. Rolling Stone Country says the album “nods to a number of 1970s and early-Eighties heavyweights who once toed a similar line between rock & roll and country influences,” and the Associated Press calls it “road music that might make you step on the gas a little harder.”

In 2013 The Wild Feathers self-titled debut hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart, followed by their Top 5 sophomore album Lonely Is A Lifetime and a special Live at the Ryman record. Their music has earned widespread praise from outlets including The New York Times, Associated Press, Rolling Stone, Parade, CMT and beyond. In addition to making national television appearances on TODAY, CBS This Morning: Saturday, Late Night with Seth Meyers and Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Wild Feathers made their Grand Ole Opry debut last fall. They have toured with legendary artists ranging from Bob Dylan to Paul Simon and wrapped a run with Brothers Osborne. They headlined The Neon Frontier Tour last spring, with stops in NYC, Washington DC, Chicago and more.
