Buried In Jade stands as a career-defining moment for San Diego-based post-hardcore outfit Thousand Below, distilling nearly a decade of sonic exploration into a cohesive yet diverse body of work. The highly anticipated fourth studio album spans multiple sonic spectrums—from crushing metalcore anthems and hook-heavy modern pop elements to atmospheric rock, heartfelt ballads, and the band’s signature post-hardcore roots. It’s a bold step forward—both sonically and thematically—for a band unafraid to grow beyond genre lines.

In May 2025, Thousand Below returned in full force with the release of the explosive single “Palace of Dread,” coinciding with the official announcement of Buried In Jade, set for release on August 8th via Pale Chord/Rise Records BMG. The unrelenting track, produced by Josh Gilbert (Spiritbox), marked a fierce and cathartic turning point for the band, showcasing a raw intensity that fans both new and old found impossible to ignore. While songs such as “Palace of Dread,” “Kerosene,” and “The Way Down” will more than satiate those who gravitate toward the band’s more aggressive tendencies, stripped-down tracks such as “Michelle’s Song” and the evocative, radio-ready ballad “Save Me” (feat. This new chapter follows the band’s stunning 2022 album Hell Finds You Everywhere and builds on the momentum of their 2024 singles “SHAKE” and “Wrong Again,” which introduced a fresh and infectious edge to their ever-evolving sound. Produced by Austin Coupe (The Devil Wears Prada, Citizen, nothing,nowhere.)—as well as Josh Gilbert on select tracks (“Palace of Dread,” “The Quiet and Cold”) and mixed by Joseph McQueen—Buried In Jade captures the essence of Thousand Below’s past while boldly forging their future.

Having shared the stage with an eclectic mix of musical acts including Bad Omens, Senses Fail, Polaris, Citizen Soldier, and Holding Absence, among many others, Thousand Below have amassed a diverse and dedicated audience, making a name for themselves across the globe thanks to their relatable music, incendiary live shows, charismatic stage presence, and powerful crowd engagement. In honor of the arrival of Buried In Jade, Thousand Below will embark on their largest headliner to date: The Buried In Jade North American Tour, with support from Aviana, True North, and Dreamwake this August through September.
