July 31, 2017

NASHVILLE, TN (July 31, 2017) – Brett Young, who Entertainment Weekly has hailed an “Ace Songwriter,” today released the official music video for his latest single “Like I Loved You.” Directed by Phillip Lopez (Kygo, Cold War Kids), the heartfelt cinematic endeavor was filmed in Los Angeles’ scenic Laurel Canyon and captures the raw sentiment surrounding an unrequited love. Watch now on VEVO and Big Machine TV.
“California is home for me, and it’s where I’ve lived a lot of these lyrics, so it just feels right to shoot the ‘Like I Loved You’ video back there,” Young said. “I think just about everyone can identify with this song in some way. Most have us have had our hearts broken a time or two.”
The third single from his full-length self-titled debut is quickly rising on the Mediabase and Billboard charts and was the most-added song upon impacting Country radio (7/17). Co-written alongside Jesse Lee, Young “didn’t shy away from heartbreak” (Rolling Stone). He recently performed “Like I Loved You” on Jimmy Kimmel Live, prompting PopCrush to laud the song’s “expert precision and emotion” and noting the track is “sure to climb the charts.” Young’s latest offering follows back-to-back No. 1 smashes, including the GOLD-certified “Sleep Without You” and PLATINUM-certified “In Case You Didn’t Know.” The latter, nominated for Teen Choice Awards Choice Country Song, solidified Young as the first Country artist to reach RIAA PLATINUM certification status with a song released in 2017. Breaking barriers in the video format as well, he remains in Vevo’s Top 10 Videos of 2017 (so far) with “In Case You Didn’t Know.” With more than 90 million views, Young is the only Country artist on the list joining the rankings with Zayn and Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar and DJ Khaled.
In addition to his own dates across the country, Young continues his run with Lady Antebellum’s YOU LOOK GOOD WORLD TOUR throughout the summer. Fans and critics are raving about the show and his performance, with The New York Times saying “…Brett Young renders deep feelings with thick polish.” For additional information and tour dates, visit
