BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE return with new song ‘Halfway Home’

The much-loved Canadian collective returned yesterday with their first new track in seven years, Halfway Home.
Arriving back through people’s radios with a premiere on XMU and on their TV sets with a rousing performance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Kevin Drew was joined by an impressive twelve other members of the Broken Social Scene family, including Stars’ Amy Millan and Evan Cranley and Metric’s Emily Haines and Jimmy Shaw.
The band are in the final furlong with their upcoming album due for release later this year, produced by Joe Chiccarelli (White Stripes, Spoon, The Strokes) and mixed by Shawn Everett (Alabama Shakes, Lucius). In the meantime they take the show on the road with a run of dates through the UK and Europe before heading back to Toronto to headline Field Trip, list of dates below.
