Position Summary:
The Marketing position will play a key role in executing marketing plans to help our artists deliver music to their fans. Your role will lead, develop, implement, and drive innovative and effective marketing ideas and plans for projects that drive growth for artist. This fast-paced job is fueled by creativity, innovation, ambition, organization, and excellent communication skills.
Essential Functions:
- Regularly attend artist meetings and be engaged with managers daily to ensure you are up to date with timelines and developments in all areas
- Work closely with artists, managers, labels, agents, and promoters to ensure seamless execution of marketing campaigns and overall brand/messaging cohesion
- Serve as support for releases and content strategy in collaboration with other departments and partners
- Develop creative and strategic marketing campaigns for assigned roster of artists, while leading assessment of success
- Create unique ideas and opportunities for each artist based on goals of growth
- Foster mutually beneficial relationships with other industry organizations
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge and passion for a broad and diverse range of musical genres including but not limited to Americana, Rock, Indie, Electronic, Afrobeats &Jam
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to multitask and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work effectively both independently and with other team members
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Photoshop encouraged and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to handle multiple projects and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of creating and driving innovative marketing campaigns and activations for industry-renowned artists
- Position requires interaction with members of senior management and other high-level internal and external contacts
- Willingness and ability to travel
Experience:
- Ideally 6+ years of music industry marketing experience
- Requires attention to detail and accuracy along with the ability to stay self-motivated and deliver on tasks with little supervision
- Requires the ability to reason and foster decision making skills while working through day-to-day work solutions
Education:
- Undergraduate degree strongly preferred.
