As they introduced “the most groove-driven song they’ve ever recorded” with “You Look Good,” their moment propelled with the announce of Lady A’s “must see” (Rolling Stone) YOU LOOK GOOD WORLD TOUR spanning over 60 shows. Simultaneously, Lady A kicked off the year with the announcement of their sixth studio album HEART BREAK (Capitol Nashville). Honing in on the melodious foundation that first brought Lady A together, the trio headed to the West Coast for the television debut of the hit single on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, before stopping by Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Dancing With The Stars. Additionally, “the expert level of musicianship on display during the 2017 ACM Awards made this performance a knockout” (Billboard) as well as a highlight of the night.

Leading into the anticipated release of HEART BREAK, which included eleven songs penned by the trio and was produced by busbee, Lady A continued to offer fans a taste of new music during their first-ever SXSW appearance and were also hand-selected by NPR‘s “First Listen” as it “served their native genre well, but also is irresistible to broader audiences” (NPR). Before earning their fifth debut at the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart with HEART BREAK in June, Lady A put their fans at the forefront during release week with CMA Music Festival activities including three packed shows in a 360-degree visual experience and national television appearances including Good Morning America’s 2017 Summer Concert Series, Late Night Starring Jimmy Fallon, CBS This Morning and Live from the Artists Den. The “buoyant album” (Entertainment Weekly) immediately skyrocketed to the Top 10 on all-genre iTunes charts in 15 countries around the world and the new collection landed on multiple mid-year “best of lists” including Rolling Stone, The Tennessean and Taste of Country.

Using their “renewed energy” (People) the group returned to the road in May on their YOU LOOK GOOD WORLD TOUR featuring special guests Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young, as they introduced fans to “a fresh twist with the addition of a live horn section” (CMT) into a set already packed with mega-hits. Throughout their North American leg, “fans were happy to know it was like no time has passed” (Omaha World-Herald) before the trio wrapped Entertainment Weekly and Rolling Stone’s “must-see summer tour” to a packed hometown crowd at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena in September. Concluding with dates overseas, the tour was dubbed “one of the best nights of mainstream Nashville music that the UK’s seen” (The Digital Fix) as “they put on a polished show for a rapturous crowd in London,” (The Guardian).

The empowering call of independence found in the title-track of HEART BREAK, serves as the new single from the multi-PLATINUM trio and was written by Dave Haywood, Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott, Jesse Frasure and Nicolle Galyon. “Heart Break” provides “a bedrock for the entire record” (Paste) as “Scott takes satisfaction in feminine independence” (NPR) with “a touch of darkness and a clever play on words,” (Rolling Stone). Before natural disasters struck the Caribbean, the seven-time GRAMMY winners traveled to San Juan, Puerto Rico for its colorful Spanish colonial buildings and vibrant culture to provide the backdrop of the track’s music video. Feeling the urgency to continue raising awareness and support for those affected after Hurricane Maria stuck the area, Lady A made a significant donation from LadyAID® to hurricane relief efforts via MusiCares® and United for Puerto Rico. Fans can also take part in the ongoing relief efforts by contributing at LadyAID.org
