Multi-talented songwriter and singer Mysie [My-Zee] has taken the music industry by storm in the past 18 months, creating a unique, genre-defying sound that has seen her high-quality output praised by an enviable array of media and tastemakers.

Mysie will cap off an incredible year with her new single Patterns, accompanied by a stunning visual directed by Louis Mackay. Out today Patterns is a masterfully spun cut that sways between elative synths and intricate beats with Mysie’s dexterous vocals full of emotion.

“This song is about recognising the patterns within myself, and within my relationships” explains the breakthrough South London artist. “It’s about me acknowledging them and searching for freedom from them, making a conscious decision to break these habits and instead strive for growth and progress”

With superlative support across the board for her independent releases to date, Mysie’s trajectory has already seen her win the inaugural Rising Star Award at the prestigious Ivor Novello Awards 2020, continue to create and perform (virtually) and spend quality time writing and developing ideas with her Ivor Novello mentor and super-producer Fraser T Smith.

‘Patterns’ follows a groundswell of support for Mysie’s recent releases, landing radio coverage across 6 Music, Radio X, Radio 1’s Phil Taggart & Huw Stephens and Apple Music’s Matt Wilkinson & Nile Rogers. Continuous praise for her musical potency has come from an array of tastemakers too, including Sunday Times, Hunger, Colors, The Line Of Best Fit, Clash, NME, Dork, Notion, TMRW, Gal Dem & The Independent.

Focused on the freedom music provides and rejecting the genres and stereotypes its industry seeks to enforce, Mysie is an artist without limits and most certainly one to watch.
