Rolling Stone Country Premieres Brandi Carlile’s New Video For “Wherever Is Your Heart”

August 20, 2015

Los Angeles, CA (August 19, 2015) – Brandi Carlile, “one of America’s leading ladies” according to Rolling Stone Country, premiered her new “Wherever Is Your Heart” video on the RS Country site today. The video features an intimate, behind-the-scenes look from an upcoming documentary. It was filmed over several months during Carlile’s first-of-its kind, “revolutionary” (Rolling Stone) 2014 Pin Drop Tour, where she performed in historic venues across the country with no amplification. “It was also our first tour as a family with all three kids, band and crew on one bus,” says Carlile. “We knew there would be chaos and wanted to see what would happen.”

The tour inspired Carlile’s latest album, The Firewatcher’s Daughter (ATO). The release marked her highest debut ever and a return to the Billboard Top 10. The album has continued to garner critical acclaim by peers and media alike. NPR Fresh Air deemed it Carlile’s “best yet,” and The Seattle Times “An electrifying blend of acoustic rock and Americana,” while it garnered raves from The New York Times, LA Times, USA Today, People, Entertainment Weekly, Paste and many more. The album is one Americana radio’s best performing records of 2015 peaking at #2 with 17 weeks total in the Top 10.

Noted by Bluegrass Situation as “one of the strongest and most talented songwriters in our world,” Carlile has also announced a special performance and intimate Q&A at Los Angeles’ Grammy Museum on Wednesday September 23rd at 8pm. Tickets will go on sale Friday August 28th at noon, while American Express Members will get to purchase tickets a week in advance, on Friday August 21st beginning at 10:30am.

Carlile has sold out nearly every date on her summer run of shows and performed “stunning” (The LA Times) sets at Bonnaroo, Newport Folk Festival and Red Rocks. Her run continues through the year, including Radio City Music Hall on October 9.
