311 Brings “311 Day” Back To New Orleans For 2 Nights

Los Angeles, CA – (September 2, 2015) – 311 Day will return to New Orleans in 2016 for two special shows on Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12 at Smoothie King Center.  Tickets are on sale Friday, September 25 at 10AM CST at, all Ticketmaster locations, and the Smoothie King Center Box Office.  The 2-DAY Ticket allows entry to both nights.

Every other year on March 11th (“311 Day”), multi-platinum rock group 311 holds a special concert event known as 311 Day that attracts their biggest fans from around the world.  Billed as “the ultimate 311 concert experience”, 311 Day is the premier event for 311 fans from around the world to gather together and celebrate their love of the band’s music and to witness an extraordinary show.  311 will play an extended setlist of hits, rarities, covers and classics; backed by a state-of-the-art light and effects show.  Past shows have also included appearances by circus performers, aerial acrobats, fire twirlers, brass bands and drumlines.

March 11th is considered a holiday to 311 fans and the band’s most dedicated fans will travel to the 311 Day show from far and wide.  For 311 Day 2014 at New Orleans Arena tickets were sold to fans from all 50 U.S. states and 14 different countries. The band played a five-hour show (66 songs) for an ecstatic crowd. With the success and excitement of the 2014 show, 311 will return to New Orleans for a special 2-night celebration in 2016.

In celebration of their 25th Anniversary, 311 proudly released a 4-CD Box Set on June 30, 2015 – titled ARCHIVE, featuring 81 tracks (unreleased songs, b-sides, bonus tracks, pre-production recordings & demos from 1992 – 2014)! PLUS a 60 Page Book of rare photos and memorabilia.

311 has sold over 9 million albums & DVD’s in the US.  They have had three #1 singles on the Alternative Radio chart and nine singles in the Top 10 – including “Amber”, “All Mixed Up”, “Down”, “Come Original”, “Love Song” and “Sunset in July.”
