PROJECT MANAGER / CONTENT CREATOR (LOS ANGELES)

Silverback Music and Red Light Management are looking for an experienced project manager and content creator to report to senior managers for an established music roster and record label.

Must have knowledge and a passion for music of all genres including alternative and reggae.

Must have graphic design, video editing, project management, and social media experience.

Must have experience working with labels on music releases and coordinating tours/shows.

Must have experience working with high profile artists. Minimum 2+ years in a similar role.

Seeking someone who thrives in a fast-past environment and can handle a full slate of projects and maintain organization at all times.

This role requires exceptional attention to detail, excellent organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

This position is full-time and based out of Los Angeles, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES / JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Creative Project Management
    • Coordinate with illustrators, designers, animators and video editors to create high quality digital content, show posters, tour art, merch designs, album covers, etc.
  • Graphic Design & Content Creation
    • Work to create visually appealing graphics and videos for use on social media, tour assets, music releases, merch, etc.
  • Merchandising
    • Coordinate with artists merchandise company
    • Manage ecomm stores, create tour merch lines, review and analyze sales and inventory
  • Label Marketing
    • Create and implement strategic digital marketing plans for releases across Silverback Music’s Controlled Substance Sound Labs
  • Social Media Management
    • Execute social plans and roll out strategy to drive engagement goals
    • Manage weekly social media post schedules across various platforms and accounts
  • Street Team Management
    • Communicate with artists fanbase, online and street promo coordination
    • Coordinate with show promoters
  • Digital Management
    • Update websites, build email newsletters, interface with digital strategy companies
  • Team Management
    • Schedule calls, meetings, and conference calls between multiple parties
    • Communicate efficiently daily with rest of team
    • Create and maintain spreadsheets, organize Dropbox, update Google Drive
    • Participate, contribute, and brainstorm in meetings. Create meeting agendas & circulate meeting notes
    • Assemble and ship promotional materials as needed, organize office and storage inventory as needed

 

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

Assistant (Los Angeles)

Red Light Management is looking to bring on a new full-time assistant to work with a manager with an established roster as well as assisting with select tasks across a larger team of managers and artists.

This position is well suited for someone with a strong passion in music management and is looking for a career with growth potential in the entertainment industry. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, excellent organizational and analytical skills, and most importantly, the ability to prioritize and multi-task under pressure in a fast-paced environment. This position requires knowledge and experience at posting on all major social media sites, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & Tik-Tok. A high degree of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with manager’s business as well as personal contacts is essential. The RLM office is based in Culver City and the position requires commuting Mon – Fri.

Assistant / Day to Day Manager (Los Angeles)

Responsibilities / job functions: 

  • Assisting with planning and implantation of artist music campaigns, including global release schedules, promo, social media plans, press, marketing and touring.
  • International calendar management across multiple time zones, including promo schedules, travel bookings, sorting visas, accommodations, and itineraries.
  • Act as key point of contact for all third parties, filtering information as needed to the artist manager and often acting as a central point for third parties to communicate/exchange information: record labels/publishers/agents/lawyers/business managers etc.
  • Efficient daily communication and information flow with artist ensuring confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Coordinating manager and artists daily diary
  • Schedule calls, meetings, and conference calls between multiple parties in different time zones

 

Job requirements:

Fall Internship (Seattle, WA)

Applications for a Fall 2022 internship in our Seattle, WA office are now being accepted.

Applicants should have an interest in learning more about the music industry through both hands on experience, as well as experiencing a variety of virtual seminars featuring managers, employees and other music industry professionals. We will focus on management, tour marketing, publicity, digital promotion, graphic design, radio promo, and merchandising.

This internship is for current undergrad students.  If you need class credit we’re happy to work with you, but it is not required. Internships are unpaid and weekly hours are flexible.

Experience with Office / Google Docs is a must and some and graphic design knowledge is a plus. Specifically, we are looking for dedicated, hard working, high energy individuals, not afraid to take initiative.

Someone who wants to expand and grow their skill set, to learn about the music industry, and the professional creative space. You will be exposed to many different types of media projects and the operations of the music industry. This position offers the opportunity to work with influential people in the Electronic community through various artistic outlets on a wide variety of projects.

In this position, you will work with our close-knit Creative Services team (based in Brooklyn, NY). Red Light Management is a great part of the industry and helps set the standard of artistic excellence.

You will have the opportunity to be involved and work with our creative department on a vast array of projects that are constantly expanding your skills, knowledge, and exposure to the music industry.

The right candidate will have a strong portfolio, passion for the art and music, great attitude and work ethic, and some experience with all items listed below. Candidates must be based in New York and have their own laptop and Adobe Suite to work from.

A weekly stipend will be provided along with school credit if requested.

Job Requirements:

– Can-do attitude, strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, hard-working, and is receptive to feedback.
– Strong foundation of skill and interest in learning more about any of the following (at least 1): graphic design, video, illustration, motion graphics, and/or photo.
– Interest & knowledge of the electronic and music industry
– Knowledge and experience with Adobe Suite is a must in relative programs to field of practice (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, Lightroom, and After Effects. Adobe InDesign, etc a plus ++)
– Must be willing to commit at least 16-20 hours per week (or to meet specific school qualifications)
– Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and strong attention to detail
– Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
– Must be able to work accordingly on projects with tight deadlines
– Must have proper time management and organizational skills
