DIGITAL CONTENT CREATOR / GRAPHIC DESIGNER (LOS ANGELES, CA)

Silverback Music and Red Light Management are looking for an experienced digital content creator and graphic designer to report to senior managers for an established music roster and record label.

Must have proficient knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and have video editing and animation experience. Must be knowledgeable with the creation and curation of social media content within the music landscape. This includes short form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube shorts, etc.

Seeking someone who thrives in a fast-past environment and can handle a full slate of projects and maintain organization at all times.

This position is full-time and based out of Los Angeles, CA but open to remote work.

RESPONSIBILITIES / JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Creating and curating social media content including short form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube shorts, etc.
  • Remix original art into various formats needed for the website design, social media, marketing, and advertising teams.
  • Mocking up merch designs for various artist capsules.
  • Adapt tour poster concepts into finalized designs for various shows, festivals and tours.
  • Create music release One-Sheets, artist EPKs, and PRs to support label and booking operations.
  • Create sponsorship decks for Tours and other opportunities.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

Digital Marketing Manager (LA or NYC)

As a Digital Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for managing social and marketing campaigns for music clients. Ranging from driving overall content marketing strategy (with a focus on audience growth, in addition to specific marketing objectives) to day-to-day execution (content creation, copywriting, community management) across all digital touchpoints (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) You will connect digital success to all aspects of a client’s career and drive growth across social media platforms, along with helping drive their brand’s communication and experience through digital interaction.

You will combine the knowledge of a client’s objectives, current online strategies, and the competitive space of social media to deliver effective digital marketing and brand development across all areas of a client’s business.

In addition to general duties, you will be called on to present forward-thinking campaign marketing and be able to collaborate and effectively communicate with other members of the team, as well as be able to clearly present your vision to clients and partners.
Our ideal candidate will have experience simultaneously managing multiple social campaigns, producing visual content, managing email marketing and should have a fun / collaborative / can-do attitude. Attention to detail, being highly organized, a knack for creative copywriting and a passion for forward thinking digital marketing are all a must.

This position is full-time and is based in either Los Angeles or NYC

Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead overall strategy and execution of clients’ social marketing including, but not limited to, social calendar creation, content creation, community management, community growth, creative marketing ideas and email marketing.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and technology and provide updates to internal teams and clients
  • Ability to create visually appealing and intriguing content (still & video) for clients
  • Film and edit short form video content for social on location as needed with clients
  • Provide in-depth reporting / insights / analytics for clients and competitive analysis of campaigns
  • Communicate and work closely with artists and teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns
  • Participate, contribute, and brainstorm in meetings – bringing a forward thinking creative mindset to all endeavors.

EXPECTATIONS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years experience managing social / digital marketing for music clients – you are an expert in how build a content program and calendar. How to deploy it effectively, using the right copy and cadences.
  • Extensive knowledge of all major social channels, including platform specific algorithms, advertising platforms and features
  • Exceptional creative copy writing skills, with attention to detail, and the ability to match an artist’s voice
  • Experience creating visual content for social (still and video) – from ideation, to filming and editing
  • Basic working knowledge of digital advertising \
  • Experience working with Mailchimp, Tailored Mail and a basic knowledge of WordPress
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience organizing and managing a visual content and asset library
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and with other team members
  • Exceptional time and project management skills

Salary range for this role is $55k-$65k per year. Standard benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401k employer matching.

  • Must have experience working with high profile artists. Minimum 4+ years as a day to day manager.
  • Must have experience working on independent music releases, merchandise campaigns and marketing/coordinating/advancing tours and festivals.
  • This role requires exceptional attention to detail, excellent organizational and analytical skills, and most importantly, the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Seeking someone who is always ”one step ahead” and can handle a full slate of projects and maintain organization at all times.

  • Touring Marketing – working directly with promoters and marketing teams to help maximize marketing and advertising efforts
  • Experience reviewing contracts related to touring, music and content
  • A general understanding of Digital distribution platforms (Symphonic, Distrokid, STEM, YouTube etc.)
  • Experience building and operating the backend of Shopify stores
  • Knowledge in Photoshop
  • Coordination of hiring creatives, issuing agreements and establishing deadlines
  • A basic understanding of brand partnership deals
  • A basic understanding of website updating (wix, squarespace etc)
