KP Entertainment is an artist management company based in Nashville, Tennessee that represents numerous country artists. As Executive Assistant to Kerri Edwards, the applicant will be involved in day- to-day operations of the company and will work directly under the president and founder of KPE, Kerri Edwards. The ideal candidate must be extremely detail oriented and organized, have knowledge of the Nashville music industry and is willing to work beyond a typical 9-5 day, including evenings and weekends. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Management of accounts payable, invoicing and expenses for company
• Maintenance of President and artist calendars
• Making travel arrangements for President
• Scheduling meetings and appointments for President, personal and professional
• Answering phone calls and taking messages
• Performing clerical duties
• Assisting in planning company events, meetings, lunches, parties etc.
• Managing and maintaining files, records and correspondence for President and clients
• Overseeing organization for office and ordering office supplies
• Responsible for building and office management

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• 1-2 years prior experience in the music industry preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably business/ music business related degree
• Proficiency in Google calendars and Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills—written and verbal
• Understanding of basic accounting
• Strong administrative skills
• Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment
• Fun, outgoing individual with a passion for the music industry
• Must be a team player

Job Description/ Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and personal assistant support to the CEO of LVE, and administrative support to the Director of LVE
  • Maintain schedule/calendar, coordinate travel arrangements, expense logging, rolling calls
  • Liaise with Red Light for client & LVE invoicing
  • Conduct and maintain client discographies, song splits, song logs, project logs, biographies, & one-sheets/decks/EPKS
  • Assist with any and all artist related needs for LVE artist roster
  • Assist with any and all songwriter/producer needs for LVE producer/songwriter roster
  • Assist in researching new acts, producers, & topline songwriters
  • Assist with creative, productive, & effective songwriting sessions for LVE producer/songwriter roster
  • Assist with effective song pitching for major label artists, indie artists, and sync placements
  • Assist with seeking ‘outside of the box’ opportunities for LVE roster that may add value to clients’ brand and generate income, ie Fender/music brand endorsements, speaking/panel opportunities for PROs, NAMM, etc.
  • Maintain LVE’s social media pages

Looking for an experienced assistant to report to senior manager,  for an established music roster.

Must have experience working with high profile artists. Minimum 2+ years in a similar role.

Must have experience in music industry.

-Efficient daily communication and information flow with artist ensuring confidentiality and discretion at all times.

-Coordinating manager and artists daily diary

-Schedule high volumes of calls, meetings, and conference calls between multiple parties in different time zones

-Advance shows and put together travel itineraries – liaise with travel agents and booking agents

-Must have sound knowledge of the current music scene.  Experience working at record labels, in entertainment marketing, at an agency or in the touring industry is a HUGE PLUS.

Red Light Management’s Internship Program is open to qualified and dedicated individuals in Charlottesville, New York City, Nashville, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Seattle, and London.

Applicants should have an interest in learning more about the music industry through the hands on experience of working in our management offices. This internship offers learning opportunities in the areas of management, tour marketing, publicity, radio and web promotion, graphic and web design, merchandising and tour promotion.

This internship is for current undergrad students.  If you need class credit we’re happy to work with you, but it is not required. Internships are unpaid and weekly hours are flexible.

Experience with Office / Google Docs is a must and some and graphic design knowledge is preferred. Specifically, we are looking for dedicated, hard working, high energy individuals, not afraid to take initiative.
