EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO HEAD OF MARKETING (LOS ANGELES, CA)

Looking for dedicated, experienced assistant in fast paced role for established music roster.
This position is full-time and based out of Los Angeles.

Qualified candidates must have:

  • Broad knowledge and passion of music.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Time management skills with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-starter, problem-solver, multi-tasker in fast-paced ever-changing environment.
  • Up to date with music, pop culture, technology, marketing trends.

Required:

  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, Google Docs/Spreadsheets and Dropbox.
  • Digital media landscape and trends including social media, DSP’s and AI.
  • Basic graphic design (mailchimp/photoshop a plus)
  • A minimum of 3+ years as assistant in the entertainment industry preferred.
  • Previous experience as executive assistant to manager or agent experience preferred.
  • BA/BS degree preferred.

Job Functions include:

  • Day to day asst duties including organization managing calendar, email, travel, expenses.

Day to day Manager (Los Angeles)

Looking for an experienced day to day manager to for an established music roster.

  • Must have experience working with high profile artists. Minimum 4+ years as a day to day manager.
  • Must have experience working on independent music releases, merchandise campaigns and marketing/coordinating/advancing tours and festivals.
  • This role requires exceptional attention to detail, excellent organizational and analytical skills, and most importantly, the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Seeking someone who is always ”one step ahead” and can handle a full slate of projects and maintain organization at all times.

Qualified candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • You will be exposed to high profile clients, so professionalism is a must
  • Must be punctual, proactive, reliable, detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and resourceful
  • Able to keep track of many ongoing projects with strong attention to detail and excellent follow through

Responsibilities / Job functions:

Assisting with planning and implementation of artist music campaigns, merchandise rollouts, touring, press campaigns, social media etc.

  • Touring Marketing – working directly with promoters and marketing teams to help maximize marketing and advertising efforts
  • Experience reviewing contracts related to touring, music and content
  • A general understanding of Digital distribution platforms (Symphonic, Distrokid, STEM, YouTube etc.)
  • Experience building and operating the backend of Shopify stores
  • Knowledge in Photoshop
  • Coordination of hiring creatives, issuing agreements and establishing deadlines
  • A basic understanding of brand partnership deals
  • A basic understanding of website updating (wix, squarespace etc)
  • Act as key point of contact for all third parties, filtering information as needed to the artist manager and often acting as a central point for third parties to communicate/exchange information

Silverback Music and Red Light Management are looking for an experienced project manager and content creator to report to senior managers for an established music roster and record label.

  • Must have knowledge and a passion for music of all genres including alternative and reggae.
  • Must have graphic design, video editing, project management, and social media experience.
  • Must have experience working with labels on music releases and coordinating tours/shows.
  • Must have experience working with high profile artists. Minimum 2+ years in a similar role.
  • Seeking someone who thrives in a fast-past environment and can handle a full slate of projects and maintain organization at all times.
  • This role requires exceptional attention to detail, excellent organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • This position is full-time and based out of Los Angeles, CA but open to remote work.

RESPONSIBILITIES / JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Creative Project Management
    • Coordinate with illustrators, designers, animators and video editors to create high quality digital content, show posters, tour art, merch designs, album covers, etc.
  • Graphic Design & Content Creation
    • Work to create visually appealing graphics and videos for use on social media, tour assets, music releases, merch, etc.
  • Merchandising
    • Coordinate with artists merchandise company
    • Manage ecomm stores, create tour merch lines, review and analyze sales and inventory
  • Label Marketing
    • Create and implement strategic digital marketing plans for releases across Silverback Music’s Controlled Substance Sound Labs
  • Social Media Management
    • Execute social plans and roll out strategy to drive engagement goals
    • Manage weekly social media post schedules across various platforms and accounts
  • Street Team Management
    • Communicate with artists fanbase, online and street promo coordination
    • Coordinate with show promoters
  • Digital Management
    • Update websites, build email newsletters, interface with digital strategy companies
  • Team Management
    • Schedule calls, meetings, and conference calls between multiple parties
    • Communicate efficiently daily with rest of team
    • Create and maintain spreadsheets, organize Dropbox, update Google Drive
    • Participate, contribute, and brainstorm in meetings. Create meeting agendas & circulate meeting notes
    • Assemble and ship promotional materials as needed, organize office and storage inventory as needed

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
