Bio
Jam City’s career began in the clubs of London with 2012’s revered ‘Classical Curves’. For his 2015 follow up ‘Dream A Garden’, he turned 180 degrees and released a murky dream-pop record inspired by the 2011 English riots. Something of a psychedelic mirror to Classical Curves, it was similarly hailed as a classic. In parallel he began the first of many collaborations as a producer and writer; starting with Kelela’s ‘Cut 4 Me’ mixtape in 2013, and going on to executive produce her debut studio album ‘Take Me Apart’ (Warp 2017). Working within the most innovative seam of RnB and Pop lead to a high demand for his production touch, including Australian megastar Troye Sivan (‘The Good Side’, ‘Animal’) and more recently co-producing break out single ‘Heather’ by 2020’s biggest new Gen Z sensation Conan Gray (1 billion streams and counting) and ‘Jealousy Jealousy’ on 2021’s biggest album ‘Sour’ by Olivia Rodrigo. Other production credits include Joji, Lil Yachty, Bad Gyal, MØ, Mallrat, Allie X, Killy, Deb Never, Perfume Genius and David Byrne.
