O’Flynn is a producer and DJ from London, whose rich productions have been supported by established veterans Ben UFO and Gilles Peterson, since his debut in 2015. Industry praise echoed shortly after, with Boiler Room hailing the London producer and DJ as “one of dance music’s most prosperous newcomers” and being championed by The Guardian as “dance floor dynamite”.
Releases on seminal dance label Ninja Tune and his own imprint Hundred Flowers followed, all while support for this music deepened across the electronic community with plays on Four Tet’s Boiler Room, James Blake’s BBC Radio 1 Residency and an inclusion in Bonobo’s mix for London nightclub Fabric’s esteemed compilation series.
2019 saw the release of O’Flynn’s debut album ‘Aletheia’ on Silver Bear Recordings, where he rounded off the year with a hugely popular 18 date UK album tour. The album is a celebration of O’Flynn’s dexterous production skills, firmly establishing his reputation within the dance music underground scene, whilst crossing over to garner mainstream critical acclaim and a legion of new fans from the wider electronic music community and beyond.
O’Flynn’s follow-up solo studio offering ‘Talia’ landed in 2021. Released on his own label’s sister imprint – Panthus – the inaugural single drew the attention of key editorial platforms including Beatportal & Magnetic Mag, acknowledging O’Flynn’s achievement in producing “blissful house and breaks” in this more reflective and emotive outlet for his music.
Coming full circle, O’Flynn collaborated with Bonobo on ‘Otomo’ as part of the prolific producer’s 7th studio album, released via Ninja Tune in early 2022. Terming O’Flynn’s contribution as a “dynamic shift […] with a dancefloor-ready drum section” Bonobo highlights this single as “one of [h]is favourites from the album”.
Looking forward, O’Flynn will be taking over the stages of FLY Open Air, Boiler Room, Pukkelpop and Lost Village to name a few, in addition to a 4-week long DJ residency at London’s iconic Phonox, showcasing all sides of his musical influences which infamously set dancefloors alight.
