We’re Stolen Gin, a band from New York City. We met as college students at NYU, and got our start playing rooftops and parties around the city – the kinds of gigs where the only goal is to make people dance. We take as much inspiration from the great New York rock bands as we do from dance music, and we try to make music that’s at home in either setting. Our live shows are where we get to expand upon the ideas in our recorded music, using improvisation to adapt to each new crowd and environment. We remix and change up our songs live, just like a DJ would. At the end of the day, not too much has changed since those early rooftop performances: we still try to make every show feel like a party, and we love to get people dancing.
