Indie-alt-folk band von Grey will kick off 2013 with a free, all-ages show at 4 p.m. next Tuesday, January 1, 2013, at Criminal Records, located at 1154-A Euclid Ave. NE in Atlanta’s Little 5 Points neighborhood. The performance will be recorded live and released on vinyl on Record Store Day, April 20, 2013. The four classically trained sisters will hit the road with Company of Thieves later this month, touring in support of their self-titled EP, which was produced by GRAMMY® winner Nick DiDia (Bruce Springsteen, Train, The Gaslight Anthem).

Camera crews/media are also invited to cover von Grey’s headline show at Eddie’s Attic, 515 North McDonough Street, Decatur, GA 30030, on Saturday, December 29. The show begins at 8 p.m. with opener Doria Roberts and von Grey will take the stage at approximately 9 p.m.

“Coming For You,” the lead single from the group’s self-titled EP, is featured on Paste Magazine’s latest mSampler, which was released this week. The band – comprising Annika (lead vocals, violin, banjo, guitar, keys), Fiona (lead vocals, guitar, violin, percussion), Petra (keys, lap steel guitar, background vocals) and Kathryn (cello, bass, mandolin, keys, background vocals) – has performed upwards of 200 shows in the past two years, from recurring residency tours at intimate venues throughout the southeastern U.S. to supporting gigs with such artists as Sarah McLachlan.
