CAITLYN SMITH RELEASES NEW SINGLE “LONG TIME COMING” PERFORMING ON LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS JANUARY 15

January 10, 2020

NEW ALBUM SUPERNOVA AVAILABLE MARCH 13

Rising singer/songwriter Caitlyn Smith shares triumphant new single “Long Time Coming” from her eagerly-awaited sophomore album Supernova, out March 13th on Monument Records. Written by Caitlyn alongside Jennifer Decilveo and Christian “Leggy” Langdon, “Long Time Coming” kicks off Supernova, setting the tone for the album as a whole with Caitlyn’s pushing of sonic boundaries and celebration of personal growth. The single is shipping to Triple A radio on Tuesday, January 14th. Listen to “Long Time Coming” here, and pre-order Supernova here.

Ahead of the release of Supernova, Caitlyn has offered glimpses into the album through previously released tracks “Put Me Back Together” and “Damn You For Breaking My Heart.” Along with “Long Time Coming,” the songs represent snapshots of everyday life, reflecting the highs and lows that make life so beautiful. LADYGUNN proclaims, “Caitlyn’s repertoire plays like a film, screening images for the listener as they get lost in the thumping, chanting soundscapes,” adding, “a timeless songwriter in this era, her creative choices reach the listener empathically, becoming relatable and familiar.” Billboard calls out her “powerful vocals and undeniable stage presence,” and Paste declares, “Smith has some major ‘star’ power.”

2020 is already shaping up to be a massive year for Caitlyn as both a performer and a songwriter; she has been named one of Amazon Music’s Artists to Watch and has received a Critics’ Choice Awards nomination for “Best Song” for “Glasgow (No Place Like Home),” which she co-wrote with Mary Steenburgen and Kate York for the film Wild Rose.  Caitlyn will make her television debut of “Long Time Coming” on Late Night with Seth Meyers this coming Wednesday, January 15th, and will kick off her tour dates with Little Big Town on Friday, January 17th at New York City’s Apollo Theater. The tour will continue through May 2nd, with Caitlyn playing major cities across the country including Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles (see below for full list of tour dates).
