Chris Stapleton Releases “Fire Away” Music Video

February 29, 2016

Nashville, TN (February The official music video for Chris Stapleton’s “Fire Away” is premiering today and can now be viewed here – http://vevo.ly/f6M3yq
Conceived by Stapleton, the powerful video was directed by Tim Mattia and stars actors Ben Foster and Margarita Levieva.
Beyond serving as the visual representation of his song, the video aims to bring attention to the culture of mental health awareness throughout the country, specifically through The Campaign to Change Direction (www.changedirection.org). The organization, which was introduced to Stapleton through Foster, strives to start a common language about the Five Signs of suffering emotionally: change in personality, agitation, withdrawal, decline in personal care and hopelessness. The Five Signs are clearly represented in the video through Levieva’s poignant performance.
“Fire Away” is from Stapleton’s multiple Grammy and CMA Award-winning debut album, Traveller. Released in last May on Mercury Records Nashville, Traveller initially debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Country Albums chart with more than 27,000 albums sold, making it one of the best-selling first weeks by a debut country artist in 2015. The album has received extensive critical acclaim and has landed him bookings on multiple national TV shows including his recent appearance as musical guest on Saturday Night Live. Following a historic turn on the CMA Awards—where Stapleton became the first artist to win Album of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year at the same awards – Traveller became the first album to re-enter the Billboard 200 all-genre album chart at No. 1, where is stayed for two straight weeks. Stapleton recently took home two awards at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards for Best Country Album and Best Country Solo Performance (“Traveller”) and is nominated for seven ACM Awards.
