Track Is From New Studio Album, Come Tomorrow, Available For Pre-Order Now

Samurai Cop (Oh Joy Begin)” – the lead-off track and first single from Dave Matthews Band’s forthcoming album, Come Tomorrow – was released today by RCA Records. Hailed by Rolling Stone as an “understated plea for compassion and tolerance,” the song quickly became a fan favorite after the band debuted it live in May 2016. Written by Matthews, it was produced by Rob Cavallo and John Alagia.

The pre-order is now underway for Come Tomorrow, which is set for release on June 8. Fans who pre-order the digital album will instantly receive “Samurai Cop (Oh Joy Begin).” A white vinyl, 2-LP edition of Come Tomorrow is available for pre-order exclusively through the Dave Matthews Band and Warehouse Official Stores.

The band recorded Come Tomorrow at studios in Seattle, Los Angeles and Charlottesville. Brandi Carlile harmonizes with Matthews on the shimmering title track, which finds hope in the impact our youth can have on the world.

Dave Matthews Band will be previewing songs from Come Tomorrow during its North American tour, which kicks off next Friday, May 18, at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, TX. Every online ticket order for the 2018 summer tour, purchased by May 17, 2018, will include a choice of CD or digital download of the new album when it is released. Tickets can be purchased now at http://davematthewsband.com.
 
The extensive run includes two-night stands in Denver, CO and West Palm Beach, FL, and a three-night stand over Labor Day weekend at The Gorge in Quincy, WA. It will wrap up on September 10 with a sold-out show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA. See below for itinerary.
