Dirty Dozen Brass Band – Best of the Beat Lifetime Achievement Honorees

The Dirty Dozen Brass Band will be receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Bible of New Orleans Music and Culture, Offbeat at the “Best of the Beat” Awards this Sunday. The Dozen are the first brass band to be honored this award and follow a list of honorees that also includes Red Light clients such as Aaron Neville (1997), George Porter, Jr. (2011) and Charlie Gabriel (of Preservation Hall) (2019)
The Dozen will be performing and accepting their award at this Virtual Ceremony, along with a number of storied New Orleans artists. Red Light is well represented in the nominations and in the city of New Orleans, with Dumpstaphunk, George Porter, Jr. and Preservation Hall, all receiving nominations across multiple categories.
