The Truckers gave zero fucks and created one of the most of-the-moment albums in any genre.” – Rolling Stone Country

A great Southern band in unbeatable form, jabbing at received wisdom and curdled traditions.” – New York Times, The Best Songs of 2016

Entering 2017, the Drive-By Truckers album American Band continues to be politically thought provoking as we move closer and closer to Inauguration Day.
Today they are releasing a revealing, never-before-seen interview filmed at NYC’s famous Electric Lady studios with longtime friend Craig Finn of the Hold Steady that discusses the making of American Band and the twenty-year history of Drive-By Truckers. Watch Part 1 HERE, Part 2 HERE and Part 3 HERE.
Drive-By Truckers will also be the musical guest on Conan on January 16th, performing “Ramon Casiano”, a song that has been called “a muscular piece of Muscle Shoals punk” by NPR Music.
“With songs about gun violence and race relations, the Southern rockers release their most politically-charged record yet,” said Rolling Stone. “American Band comes from the very distinct perspective of a group that remains burdened by, and reckoning with, its own bloody Southern history.”
The album was also mentioned on the 2016 year-end lists of the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, Paste and Entertainment Weekly and was named The Bitter Southerner‘s #1 album of the year. All upcoming 2017 tour dates, including three shows at their hometown venue of Athens, GA’s 40 Watt Club, are listed below.
