Ed O’Brien of Radiohead unveils“Olympik” the latest advance offering from his debut album under the EOB moniker, Earth.

Preceded by first official single “Shangri-La” and the shapeshifting epic “Brasil” and its accompanying sci-fi short film; “Olympik” is the third song from Earth to be released in advance of the album. Bristling with “electro energy” (MXDWN), “Olympik” is anchored by a lockstep groove courtesy of legendary rhythm section Omar Hakim (Drums) and Nathan East (Bass).  Ed’s voice and guitars float ethereally atop the mix, with additional programming by producers Flood and Catherine Marks and guitar from Dave Okumu adding and combining textures to mesmerizing effect.

This coming Thursday (9^th) EOB will release an additional track “Cloak of The Night”, an emotive raw ballad featuring Laura Marling.  The track had its first play today on NPR’s ‘All Things Considered’ with Bob Boilen.
