Everything Everything Return With New Single, New Album Available August 18th Worldwide

June 14, 2017

Everything Everything returned last night with a brand new single ”Can’t Do”. It’s the first to be taken from their forthcoming new album “A Fever Dream” which has been produced by James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Foals, Depeche Mode).

The track was premiered last night as Annie Mac’s “Hottest Record” on her BBC Radio 1 show.

The video for the track premiered this morning on NME.COM http://www.nme.com/news/music/everything-everything-unveil-video-new-single-cant-2088469

“Can’t Do” reaffirms this brilliant band’s endless creative journey, their ability to incorporate myriad ideas within the length of a pop song, whilst feeling coherent and now more direct than ever before. Synth bursts introduce the song before Jonathan Higgs’s unique vocal kicks in. Backing vocals and a driving bassline push the song to its chorus, which breaks into euphoria. It’s an utterly captivating return.

Of the new single, singer Jonathan Higgs says:

“Can’t Do” is about trying to bend to the world and fit into it. Nobody is normal, nobody knows what normal is. ‘I can’t do the thing you want’ – we don’t care we just want you to dance.”

“A Fever Dream” is the Manchester-based four-piece’s fourth album. It’s the follow up to the critically-lauded Top 10 album “Get To Heaven”, an album that can now be seen to have been incredibly prescient given the current state of the world. It was their third consecutive UK Top 10 album, after LPs “Man Alive”, and “Arc”.

The band will be appearing at Reading & Leeds Festival, as well as a host of other UK and European festivals over the summer, many yet to be announced.
