Don Felder discusses writing and recording his forthcoming solo album, Road to Forever, in a revealing new interview on Music Radar.

Don tells Joe Bosso about turning to writing in the wake of leaving the Eagles and a divorce, “As records go, it’s a little bit of an autobiography…The whole process I was going through in 2001, all of those separations and loss of loves and friendships, really drove me to write songs, not with the idea of putting out a record but writing to express my emotions through music.” Don also muses on his Gainesville, FL upbringing, “Tommy Petty is a few years younger than me – he was one of my guitar students…[Duane Allman] showed me how to play slide guitar…I stole everything I could from him – and Petty stole everything he could from me!”
