Grace Potter’s Valentine’s Day Twilight Hour: A frantic rock explosion for the lovers!

February 14, 2021

Two-time Grammy nominee Grace Potter announced a special Valentine’s Day edition of her Twilight Hour livestream series. The full band performance will stream on Sunday, February 14 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT via Madnolin.

The Twilight Hour began as a series of solo performances and commentary by Grace on YouTube once the pandemic hit and her tour was abruptly canceled.  Potter has now partnered with Mandolin to bring an elevated Twilight Hourexperience to a wider audience. Potter will perform with her band, The Twilights, which features guitarist Benny Yurco, bassist Alex Proctor and Potter’s husband Eric Valentine on drums.

“This Valentine’s Day, I’m taking a stroll down memory lane, delving into songs from The Lion The Beast The Beat and GPN eponymous albums! I’m encouraging fans to submit requests, as well as photos and memories from attending shows during that era,” said Potter.  “It’ll be a whole lotta rock music, and a little bit of mayhem, with a side of romance.”

Potter received two GRAMMY nominations this year for her cathartic and emotionally raw album Daylight, which included nods for Best Rock Album and Best Rock Performance for the album’s explosive title track.  The nomination for Best Rock Performance marks the first time in Grammy history that all nominees are female.  Produced by Eric Valentine, Daylight is a commanding, career-defining statement of power and purpose.  The album also features the new single “Release,” co-written by Potter and the late Mike Busbee.

The twin GRAMMY nominations are the second and third of her career. The 63rd GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast on CBS on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at 8pm ET / 5pm PT.
