Sunday 1st June, global icon Lionel Richie made his highly anticipated return to the UK last night in spectacular style as he kicked off his UK leg of the ‘Say Hello To The Hits’ 2025 tour in front of a sold-out SSE Arena. Richie delighted the enraptured audience with hit after hit, including “Hello”, “Endless Love” and “Dancing on the Ceiling”, continuing to prove why he remains one of the most beloved live entertainers of all time.

His first UK & Europe arena tour in nine years goes on to visit Glasgow, Sheffield, Birmingham and Manchester before rounding things off at The O2, London. All before heading into Europe for a total of 32 shows, bringing the tour to a close with a grand finale at the Wizink Centre in Madrid on the 2 August.

From the moment the renowned singer arrived on stage, he captivated the crowd with his boundless high-energy and trademark charm, powerhouse vocals and magnetic stage presence, giving his fans a night to remember. A true showman, through and through, Richie kept the sold out crowd up on their feet for a spectacular nearly 2-hour show, packed full of his soulful ballads and uptempo anthems.

Speaking on his first show back in the UK Lionel says “Wow. It’s so great to be back in the UK, the crowds are unbelievable here and bring so much energy. I’m still trying to take it all in. The love. The way everyone sang along. It reminded me why I love performing here so much. Starting the tour like this is all I could have asked for. If Belfast is anything to go by, I can’t wait to visit all the other great cities on this tour. We’re in for a great time!”
