JAMESON RODGERS’ DEBUT SINGLE “SOME GIRLS” CERTIFIED GOLD

TOP 5 AT COUNTRY RADIO

FIRST SOLO MALE ARTIST TO HAVE A DEBUT SINGLE REACH TOP 10 THIS YEAR

River House Artists/Columbia Nashville breakout singer/songwriter Jameson Rodgers is celebrating his first RIAA GOLD-certified single as an artist, as his debut single “Some Girls” has reached sales exceeding 500,000 units.

“This song has changed my life,” said Rodgers. “It was the best surprise I’ve had in a long time last night at our softball game. My work family, who I haven’t seen in six months, surprised us with the certified-GOLD record plaques. I can’t imagine a better team to be on this journey with. I’m looking forward to seeing where else this road leads and much better days ahead.”

Rodgers was surprised with the news, along with songwriters HARDY, Jake Mitchell, and C.J. Solar, Monday evening by label, publishing, and management executives.

“Some Girls” has been steadily climbing at country radio, currently within the Top 5 on both Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts. Rodgers is the first solo male debut artist to have his first single enter the Top 10 in 2020. The track has earned nearly 100 million on-demand streams, and has been lauded as “a mix of masculine rock grit, country storytelling, quick-hitting vocals and tasty electro-pop accents,” (Rolling Stone) earning Rodgers a reputation as “a newcomer to watch in 2020” (Taste of Country).

Rodgers – who received the MusicRow 2020 Robert K. Oermann Discovery Artist of the Year Award – has previously earned Platinum certifications as a songwriter, co-penning hits for Florida Georgia Line (Top 10 “Talk You Out Of It”) and Chris Lane (No. 1 “I Don’t Know About You”). He’s also a co-writer on the title track of Luke Bryan’s most recent album Born Here Live Here Die Here and “Camouflage Hat” from Jason Aldean’s latest release 9.
