Director, Digital Strategy (Los Angeles)

As the Director, Digital Strategy, you will be responsible for managing digital marketing and partnerships for a diverse roster of clients. Ranging from driving overall content and digital marketing strategy (with a focus on audience growth, in addition to specific marketing objectives) to day-to-day execution (content creation, copywriting, community management) across all digital touchpoints (Artist Websites, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
You will combine the knowledge of a client’s objectives, current online strategies, and the competitive space of social media to deliver effective digital marketing and audience development across all areas of a client’s business including recorded music, touring and merch.
In addition to general duties, you will be called on to present forward-thinking campaign marketing and be able to collaborate and effectively communicate with other members of the team, as well as be able to clearly present your vision to clients and partners.
Our ideal candidate will have experience simultaneously managing multiple campaigns, producing visual content, managing direct marketing and should have a fun, collaborative and “can-do” attitude. Attention to detail, being highly organized, expert problem solving abilities, a knack for creative copywriting and a passion for forward thinking digital marketing are all a must.
This position is full-time and is based in Los Angeles.

Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead overall strategy and execution of clients’ digital strategy and marketing including, but not limited to, social and digital marketing calendar creation, content creation, community growth, creative marketing ideas and email marketing.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and technology and provide updates to internal teams and clients. Meet with and assess new digital partner companies.
- Ability to produce visually appealing and intriguing content (still & video) for clients as needed
- Ability to help film, edit or produce short form video content for social on location as needed with clients, a plus but not required
- Provide in-depth reporting / insights / analytics for clients and competitive analysis of campaigns
- Maintain relationships with key partner platforms on behalf of your roster (DSPs, Meta, YouTube, etc.)
- Build pitch decks and and provide reporting for artist presentations – you must understand how to work with data and analytics – layout your ideas in a presentable format
- Communicate and work closely with artists and teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns
- Participate, contribute, and brainstorm in meetings – bringing a forward thinking creative mindset to all endeavors.
EXPECTATIONS / QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years experience managing digital campaigns for artists or artists at a music company (management company experience preferred) – you are an expert in how to build a content program and a marketing calendar around music releases and touring. How to deploy it effectively, using the right tools, copy and cadences.
- Extensive knowledge of all major social channels, including platform specific nuances, content strategies and features
- Exceptional copy writing skills, with attention to detail, and the ability to match an artist’s voice
- Experience producing and creating still and shortform visual content for social (still and video) – from ideation, to filming and editing, you should have at least some basic content creation / editing abilities (updating ad mats for example), but the more the better.
- Knowledge of digital advertising and experience working with Meta, TikTok and YouTube ad tools
- Experience managing tastemaker and influencer campaigns
- Experience working with Meta Business Suite
- Experience working with email and mobile marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, etc) website CMS systems (WordPress, Squarespace, etc.)
- Experience managing fan acquisition tools / campaigns and working with fan CRM platforms (Laylo, Openstage, Rivet, etc.)
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to multitask and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work effectively both independently and with other team members
- Exceptional time and project management skills
Salary range for this role is $75-$145k per year, commensurate with experience. Standard benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401k employer matching.
