LA Priest (aka Sam Dust) released his debut album, Inji, earlier this year to critical acclaim. Recorded over a reclusive period spanning five years following the disbandment of his previous band, Late of the Pier, Inji reasserts Dust as a truly idiosyncratic voice in British music, applying the same frantically eclectic, mischievous and willfully absurd spirit of his previous band to ever more nuanced and affecting songwriting and composition.

The album received praise from pop purists and advocates of leftfield music alike, with Time Out New York calling the album “genius” and saying “If all pop music sounded this joyfully alive and experimentally fun, we’d surely be living in a different world”.

“Upbeat, colourful, virtuosic, and incredibly adventurous both musically and production-wise”. – DUMMY
