Today, Lady Wray releases her sophomore album
Piece Of Me, out now via Big Crown Records. The new 12-track project arrives on the heels of previously released
singles “
Joy & Pain,” “
Thank You,” “
Under The Sun” and “
Through It All,” as well as summer 2021’s release of “Games People Play.” The steady flow of releases perpetuated the momentum Lady Wray has built around the record along with two of her most successful singles to date in “Piece of Me” and “Come On In,” the latter of which she performed on
The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Wednesday night. In addition, Lady Wray is announcing a series of shows in Atlanta, New York City and Los Angeles this March to celebrate the album’s release.

Piece of Me, produced by Big Crown founder Leon Michels, represents both a continuation of the approach Lady Wray has always taken with her music and a homecoming of sorts blending vocal prowess and tender R&B songwriting, coated in the warm Soul music that she grew up with. Piece of Me includes features from her father, Kenneth Wray Sr. and her daughter, Melody Bloom Bacote on the tracks “Beauty In The Fire” and “Melody,” respectively. Altogether timeless, the album incorporates moments of boom-bap beats and Lady Wray’s history in the hip-hop scene, while also looking forward, as she projects a sound all her own, calling her own shots and making music as a means to reflect on the journey to this point.
