NEW ALBUM ‘GRAVEYARD WHISTLING’ OUT NOW,
SPRING TOUR BEGINS NEXT WEEK
“Singer Rhett Miller leads the band through smart songs with echoes of Depeche Mode, the Clash and other rockers. It’s what this band is good at.” – Associated Press
“‘Graveyard Whistling’ proves that even in the young man’s game of country rocking, growing older is no impediment to creating exciting, even exhilarating music that feels vital, fresh and dangerous.” – American Songwriter
“If there’s a theme to [Old 97’s] new album, ‘Graveyard Whistling,’ it’s that this band isn’t dead yet,” emphatically states The Virginian Pilot. “If you don’t get the hint in the very first song, ‘I Don’t Wanna Die in This Town,’ you’re not listening.”
Now is definitely the time to tune in and listen to Old 97’s as the Dallas, Texas four-piece will be the featured musical guest on Conan, performing their single “Good with God”, next Tuesday, March 14th. The band also recently released a music video for the track featuring a faux-interview with The Office’s Jenna Fischer and Fred Armisen (Portlandia, Late Night With Seth Meyers) as a stand-in drummer who, as Pitchfork describes, “takes charge and can’t keep his mouth shut.” Watch it HERE.
Available now, Graveyard Whistling vinyl is available with four different cover color options – red, blue, green and silver – with four matching vinyl colors in translucent red, translucent blue, translucent green, and clear. You can order the album physically or digitally HERE and head below to check out Old 97’s spring tour dates including the Old 97’s County Fair in their hometown of Dallas as well as New York, Boston, Chicago and more.
