Chris Lorenzo returns to his Late Checkout imprint with the hotly anticipated ‘Pump’ – the most requested ID from his sets since he released his incendiary ‘MAMI’ collab with COBRAH. ‘Pump’ is an adrenaline fuelled record with a playful siren motif taking centre stage – an uncompromising dancefloor moment transporting fans back to clubbing energy of the late 90s.
Acknowledged for pioneering a sound that has become globally prominent, Chris Lorenzo’s rise to the upper echelons of the House and Bass scenes is one of electronic music’s most notable success stories.
2022 saw career highs across the board for Lorenzo. In addition to key festival debuts at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and Rock in Rio, he rounded the year off with his own ‘Places & Faces’ headline tour, sold-out across 12 cities in North America.
Lorenzo launched a new show concept with AC Slater – ‘Fly With Us’ – the title of which is inspired from their widely popular collaborative track of the same name. Key releases from Chris Lorenzo include ‘California Dreamin’ – Beatport No.1 and surpassing 100 million streams across all platforms. His remix of J Balvin & Skrillex – ‘In Da Getto’, which was the most played remix of 2021 according to 1001 Tracklists’ ‘A State of Dance Music Report’ (SDMR) sustained its momentum, making it #3 Most Heard Track of 2022. Lorenzo’s remix resonated so well with audiences across the globe that J Balvin opted to perform this version over the original track on Good Morning America, which broadcast to over 3 million people.
Lorenzo’s latest impact on the electronic music landscape was his ground-breaking single ‘MAMI’, on which he teamed up with one of electronic music’s most exciting and innovative artists – COBRAH. The incendiary collab which burned its way to #3 Bass House Track of 2022 has consistently been setting dancefloors alight as a staple feature in the sets of Fisher, Dom Dolla, Chris Lake and continues to be an unrelenting favourite amongst the wider DJ circuit and fans alike.
