RAINBOW KITTEN SURPRISE SELL OUT TWO-NIGHT STAND AT RED ROCKS AMPHITHEATER MINUTES AFTER TICKETS GO ON SALE

November 19, 2021

Genre-defying, Nashville-based quintet Rainbow Kitten Surprise has officially sold-out their highly anticipated two-night stand next summer at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater – doing so within just minutes of tickets going on sale. Set for July 11 + 12, 2022, the shows will feature support from fellow Tennessee artist Briston Maroney.

The band has a long history of sold-out dates, with their 2019 How To: Friend, Love, Freefall North American headline tour featuring 50 sold-out shows, 6 venue upgrades, 3 second nights added, and over 80,000 tickets sold. That tour also included a show at Red Rocks, which sold out in less than a week.

For the 2022 shows, the band has partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 from each ticket goes to support Food Bank of the Rockies, igniting the power of community to nourish people facing hunger.

Today’s news follows the announcement last week that the band will perform at next year’s Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta, GA on Friday, April 29. On this side of the year, they will play a sold-out, three-night stand at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville from Dec 26 – Dec 28 – dubbed Crimbo Limbo.

They will also play a special New Year’s Eve show at The Anthem in Washington DC, where support will also come from Maroney. Tickets for that show are available here.

Earlier this year, the band released their first ever live album, RKS! LIVE FROM ATHENS GEORGIA, harnessing all the magic of a Rainbow Kitten Surprise show as they electrify sold-out audiences with signature anthems and fan favorites. Recorded live from a two-night stand at The Georgia Theatre in Athens, GA during the band’s sold-out 2019 Friend, Love Freefall Tour, the 25-song collection also arrived as a limited-edition 3-LP vinyl.

The 2019 North American tour came in support of the band’s Elektra Records debut How To: Friend, Love, Freefall, and spanned 50 sold-out shows highlighted by 6 venue upgrades, 3 second nights added, and over 80,000 tickets sold. To date, the album itself has gathered north of 230 million streams, while the lead single “Fever Pitch” has eclipsed 40 million streams, having vaulted into the Top 10 at Triple A Radio upon release.
