Indie-alt-folk band von Grey will make its network television debut on “Late Show with David Letterman” on Tuesday, February 19. The band will perform “Coming For You,” the first single from its self-titled EP, which was recorded with GRAMMY® award-winning producer/engineer Nick DiDia (Bruce Springsteen, Train, The Gaslight Anthem) and released independently late last year.

The classically trained Alpharetta, GA sisters have four performances scheduled at SXSW and have been asked by Jim Donio, President of NARM, to perform during the opening session at NARM’s Music Biz 2013 conference on May 8. The band’s performance will follow the presentation of the Independent Spirit Award, which will be bestowed this year to Record Store Day.

von Grey kicked off 2013 with a free show on New Year’s Day at Criminal Records, an independent record store in Atlanta. Their performance was recorded live and will be released on vinyl on Record Store Day. The band will celebrate with a release party and performance at Criminal Records on Saturday, April 20.

“They take our breath away,” said Daytrotter.com. “[von Grey is] knee-deep in the concept and context of what it means to be torn apart by love.” The Atlanta Journal-Constitution hailed von Grey as “nothing short of stunning” while AmericanSongwriter.com premiered the video for “Coming For You,” noting: “When your song is the most added to Triple A Radio, behind Mumford & Sons’ latest single, you know you’re doing something right.”

von Grey – comprising Annika (lead vocals, violin, banjo, guitar, keys), Fiona (lead vocals, guitar, violin, percussion), Petra (keys, lap steel guitar, background vocals) and Kathryn (cello, bass, mandolin, keys, background vocals) – has performed upwards of 200 shows in the past two years, from recurring residency tours at intimate venues throughout the southeastern U.S. to supporting gigs with such artists as Sarah McLachlan, Company of Thieves and Lindsey Stirling.
