49th & Main have announced new mixtape B.O.A.T.S, set for release 30th June via Counter Records/Ninja Tune.

B.O.A.T.S is the highly anticipated follow up to 2022’s Must Be Nice EP, a release that cemented the Irish duo as one of the country’s hottest acts, amassing tens of millions of streams and a barrage of support at press and radio.

B.O.A.T.S ushers in the latest era for 49th & Main, and features the recent singles ‘Crash and Burn’ and ‘Said Nothing’, a duet featuring rising pop sensation SKYLAR.

Alongside the announcement, today sees the release of new single ‘Icy”, which is available to stream now. Setting their sights on the summer to come, ‘Icy’ is an effortless sunshine smasher, combining driving, uplifting instrumentation with subtly emotive and relatable lyrics and vocals. With a chorus that will rattle around your brain all season, it is the pure essence of 49th & Main.

Speaking about ‘Icy’, 49th & Main said: “Icy is about how sometimes relationships can feel like the other person has been cold, but reality it’s just external factors and the inability to know fully someone else’s perspective.”

Speaking about B.O.A.T.S, 49th & Main said: “B.O.A.T.S, Based on a true story, the story being ours so far. The idea behind the title, is to represent the two of us in an ‘alien’ environment. It encompasses how we’re feeling in this industry at this stage, still wrestling with the idea that we belong here and are meant to feel at home beside other great artists on rosters & festival line ups etc. The record itself is classic 49th & Main, genres all over the place but designed to soundtrack the best times of your life.”

Hailing from Kilkenny, the duo have been making unbelievable waves across the globe – selling out every headline show to date in a matter of hours, including the 1,000 cap Dublin Academy, amassing over 60 million streams and appearing as cover stars for Spotify’s RADAR and Apple Music’s Up Next. The duo also recently played the final ever show at Printworks, as well as a roadblock show at The Great Escape.

As something that has been an important part of the 49th & Main journey, the band are also urging anyone to donate blood where possible, visit GiveBlood.ie or your nearest equivalent for details.
