Brooklyn’s CHAPPO have released a new video for the track “5-0” off their debut album Moonwater. Directed by Noah Conopask, “5-0” is available to stream or embed on chappomusic.com. Depicting the quintessential teenage summer night, Conopask describes “5-0” as “fusing a ‘Dazed and Confused’ aesthetic with the movie ‘Kids.’”

The four-member band (Alex Chappo, Zac Colwell, Dave Feddock, and Chris Olson) are hitting the road once again after wrapping a tour with of Montreal and performing at Bonnaroo, Summerfest, Bunbury, and Osheaga. Beginning October 13, the tour includes two CMJ performances, and stops in Brooklyn, NYC, Jersey City, Philadelphia, Richmond, Charlotte, Durham, Atlanta, DC, Baltimore, Montreal, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Buffalo, Chicago, and many other cities.

CHAPPO will be making their debut TV performance Friday, October 19^th at 9pm when they perform LIVE on the Nick & Artie show!  The show can be seen on DirecTV’s Audience Network (239) and will be simulcast on Sirius XM.

CHAPPO released their first full-length album, Moonwater, May 15 on Majordomo Records in partnership with CHAPPO’s own label Rouse Records. To record the 11-song LP, the four escaped New York for Sunhouse Studios in the serene landscape of Vermont. The band worked with longtime friend Everett DiNapoli to produce the album artwork, with additional images from live shows taken by photographer friends and even drawings and handwritten lyrics from their own notebooks. Moonwater was mixed by Hector Castillo (Beck, Bjork) and Steve Wall, and produced by Colwell, who says “We wanted to capture a certain energy and vibe, stripping down the gear, going really minimal to focus on the performance and obtain that freedom in the sound.”
