Ahead of THE K IS SILENT Album – Out May 1st
NASHVILLE, TN – Apr. 02, 2020 – The Hot Country Knights debut their patriotic new track “The USA Begins With US” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon: At Home Edition streaming on The Tonight Show’s YouTube Channel at 5:00P ET ahead of airing as part of tonight’s encore episode at 11:35P ET on NBC. Produced and written by multi-Platinum entertainer Dierks Bentley along with co-writers Jim Beavers and Brett Beavers, the “feel-good live track” (Billboard) is featured on their forthcoming album THE K IS SILENT, out May 1st. “The USA Begins With US” is available at 12:00P ET tonight at all digital retailers here.
The live track was recently recorded in Nashville and delivers a powerful message through Douglason’s prolific lyrical musings such as, “Now this morning I was checking the tag on my underwear to make sure it was mine…it was…there’s a little tag in there that says ‘Made in China.’ But I remember when those tags used to say ‘Made in the USA!’ And that got me thinking…it inspired me to write this little song right here about twenty minutes ago…What I realized is the USA begins with US! It does! It actually begins with a U and an S!”
Famous for never giving up on the dream of the ‘90s, the Hot Country Knights “wear their inspirations on their sleeves pretty proudly,” (The Chive). Comprised of band leader Douglas (“Doug”) Douglason, lead bass player Trevor Travis, lead guitarist Marty Ray (“Rayro”) Roburn, keytar/fiddle player Terotej (“Terry”) Dvoraczekynski, steel guitarist Barry Van Ricky and percussionist Monte Montgomery, the Knights have been dubbed by Variety as a “full Spinal Tap-like musical-comedy act.” Produced by Bentley, the singer/songwriter also serves as a co-writer on over half of the 10 brawny tracks.
